The Milk Mixer Series

This is a virtual series to answer piles of your prenatal questions and leave you feeling ready for the early days and weeks with your little one. You'll get a little mix of everything in this series, there are great options for those who are breastfeeding, chestfeeding, or exclusively pumping. Participants can choose the sessions that interest them or the whole series. All virtual classes are closed captioned for accessibility . 

Milk Mixer Session #1: Supplies and Stuff

What in the world is all this stuff and do I actually need it? You’ll hear about gadgets and gizmos from friends and family, from social media, and the general wild west of the internet. Different things work for different people. We’ll talk about why and when you might find certain items useful, which things are just not worth the money, and which can actually be harmful. Yes, we will chat about pumps during this session! We will also cover bottles in this session, but not bottle-feeding (see Session #3 for that.)

Milk Mixer Session #2: Latch & Positioning

What is this “good latch” everyone is talking about and how do I get it? Poor latch is the #1 cause of sore nipples and painful nursing, which is a leading cause of folks not meeting their own feeding goals (stopping early because- yikes, this hurts.) It’s also a common reason for babies not to gain weight well in the early days and weeks. We will talk in detail about how to know if you’re getting an effective latch with breastfeeding and what to do if you’re not.

Cost: $15 per session

Milk Mixer Session #3: The Postpartum Scoop

In this session, we'll talk about what it will really be like to live life with this tiny new person in your home. Whether you’re having your baby at home or in the hospital, you can have a prepared and peaceful transition to life with your little one. We’ll talk about the very first nursing session, the golden hour, engorgement, common bumps in the road, and where to get the support you deserve. We will also talk about how and when to introduce bottles/pumping. We won't cover bottle brand/style specifics here (see Session #1 for that.) 

Cost: $15 per session

Private Virtual Classes

Private Classes are taught live and are available for 
  • Preparing to Breast/Chestfeed
  • Pumping
  • Inducing Lactation
  • Planning for Return to Work
All classes are taught by an IBCLC. You'll have a chance to ask all your questions from the comfort of your own couch. Pjs and snacks are encouraged. 

Cost: $125 (self-pay rate)
