Breastfeeding Basics ~ Virtual Class

  • Hoping to breastfeed, but feeling unsure it will work out? 
  • Feeling like you understand the reasons *why* breastfeeding is great for babies, but not sure how to actually *do* it?
  • Seeing all the stuff that's marketed to expecting parents and wondering what you'll really need?
  • Wanting to feel more confident about how all this will work when you bring your baby home?

If you've answered yes to any or all of the above, our "Getting Started" breastfeeding class is a great choice for you!

What will I learn in this class?
This class will focus on preparing you for the first days and weeks of breastfeeding. We'll discuss latching and positioning techniques, normal breastfeeding behaviors, how to know your baby is getting enough to eat, potential bumps in the road and how to address them, and cover any questions on your mind!

This group class is online/live with an IBCLC. You'll have a chance to ask all your questions from the comfort of your own couch. Pjs and snacks are encouraged. 

Cost: $15 (includes parent + partner)

Back to Work & Breastfeeding ~ Virtual Class

​Is a "Back to Work" Class the right choice for me? Are you...
  • Are you planning to return to work outside your home?
  • Do you want pumping to be a part of your family's feeding plan?
  • Feeling unsure how to start building your stash?
  • Worried about keeping up your milk supply?
  • Feeling anxious about the transition?

If you've answered yes to any or all of the above, a "Back to Work" virtual class is a great choice for you!
What will I learn in this class?
This class is designed for breastfeeding parents who would like help transitioning to working outside the home, as well any parent who could use support with pumping and bottle feeding. Topics will include choosing/using a breast pump, when and how to introduce a bottle, creating a pumping schedule that works for you, handling and storing breastmilk safely, working with employers and child care providers to support breastfeeding parents, as well as answering any questions you have. Returning to work can be a very stressful time for parents...this session is designed to help you feel prepared and confident for this transition! 

This group class is online/live with an IBCLC. You'll have a chance to ask all your questions from the comfort of your own couch. Pjs and snacks are encouraged.

Induced Lactation: Online Planning Session

What will I learn in this planning session?
This session is designed for parents who are planning on induced lactation (for those who have never lactated or chest/breastfed before) or relactation (for those who have lactated or chest/breastfed in the past). Many of our families are welcoming children through adoption or have non-birthing parents who would like to share in the joys of feeding their babies. This session is for parents who are still expecting their baby. (If your little one has already arrived, you are the perfect candidate for our Clinical Lactation Care Consult in the comfort of your own home!)

Planning sessions are held online and are all individual. The focus will be on you and your personal situation, so we can talk about all the specifics! Clients will also receive a warm welcome in our monthly support groups and an invitation to our closed, online community forum.

Exclusive Pumping: Online Planning Session

What will I learn in this planning session?
This session is designed for parents who are planning on exclusively pumping milk for their babies. Topics will include: what kind of pumps are best for exclusive pumpers, how to get off to a solid start in the early days, techniques on how to keep your milk supply health and strong throughout your journey, tips for bottle feeding, how to incorporate formula if you choose/need, and safe weaning methods for down the road.  

Planning sessions are held online and are all individual. The focus will be on you and your personal situation, so we can talk about all the specifics! Clients will also receive a warm welcome in our monthly support groups and an invitation to our closed, online community forum.
